Description

The Murané R is a ring chandelier: a slim band in Brushed Champagne, 110cm across, carrying eight spheres of pink glass, each 10cm across. Some sit on top of the ring and some hang beneath it, so the circle reads as loose and lively rather than regimented. The glass has a rippled, textured surface that catches and scatters the light, and the spheres glow a soft rose against the champagne band. Its light source is integrated LED, so there are no bulbs to buy or change: 21W gives 1177 lumens of warm white light at 2700K, with a CRI of 90, so wood, fabric and skin tones look natural.

At 110cm across, this is a chandelier for a generous room. Centred over a long dining table, the ring frames the table and the pink glass casts a flattering glow over everyone sitting at it; in a living room with good ceiling height it hangs as a broad halo of light at the centre. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only. The chandelier runs at 24V DC and is powered from the mains, wired in by an electrician, through a remote 24V DC driver, sold separately, which converts the mains supply to the 24V DC the ring needs.

The chandelier comes without its canopy, and no version with a canopy is made, so you will also need a Murané R canopy, sold separately, which covers the electrical connection at the ceiling. Plan for the canopy and the driver together when ordering, as the chandelier will not work without them. The Brushed Champagne finish gives the band a soft, low sheen that sits well with the pink glass. It is a Class III fitting, as it runs at 24V DC from its driver. It is wired in to the mains, so it is for a qualified electrician to install.
