Description

The Murané R is a ring chandelier: a slim circle 110cm across in a Brushed Champagne finish, set with spheres of Forest Green glass, each 10cm across. The light comes from integrated LEDs, so there is no bulb to buy or change. The fitting draws 21W and gives 1177 lumens of warm 2700K light with a CRI of 90. The Forest Green glass colours that light as it passes through each sphere. It is a chandelier made to be looked at as much as lit by, with the round spheres sitting at intervals around the ring.

At 110cm across, this is a chandelier for a generous room. Hung over a long dining table, the ring gives everyone seated a soft circle of light to gather under. In a living room it fills the centre of the ceiling with colour and warmth without a heavy frame. The open ring keeps the view across the room clear, which suits an open-plan space where dining and living share one ceiling. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only, and it is made for indoor use.

The ring carries the Brushed Champagne finish and the spheres are Forest Green glass, so the colour comes from the glass itself. The chandelier comes without its canopy, and no version with one exists, so you will need a Murané R canopy, sold separately, which fixes to the ceiling and covers the connection. It also needs a remote 24V DC driver, not included and sold separately, which turns the mains supply into the 24V DC the LEDs run on. As a Class III fitting it runs only from that extra-low-voltage supply. It is wired in to the mains by a qualified electrician, through the driver, so we suggest ordering the canopy and driver alongside the chandelier, giving your electrician everything at once.
