Description

The Murané R 25 is a ring chandelier: a single band in a Brushed Champagne finish, set with 25 spheres of Caramel glass, some sitting along the top of the band and some hanging beneath it. The ring measures 109cm across and each sphere is 10cm in diameter, so it reads as a wide circle of light rather than a tall drop. The glass is rippled and uneven, catching the light and scattering warm reflections. The light source is integrated LED, so there is no bulb to buy or change, and it gives 3677 lumens at a warm 2700K with a CRI of 90, which keeps skin tones, wood and fabrics looking natural.

At 109cm across, it suits a dining room, centred over a long table, or a generous living room where a wide, open ring of light fills the ceiling. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only. It comes without its canopy, and no version with a canopy exists, so you will need a Murané R canopy, sold separately, which covers the connection at the ceiling. It also needs a remote 24V DC driver, sold separately, which turns the mains supply into the 24V DC the LEDs run on. You need both to put it up and light it.

The band carries a Brushed Champagne finish, a soft, muted gold with a fine brushed grain, and the Caramel glass keeps its honeyed colour even with the light off. This is a Class III fitting, which means it runs at 24V DC from its driver rather than straight from the mains. Power comes from the mains, wired in by an electrician through the 24V DC driver, so fitting it is a job for a qualified electrician. We suggest ordering the Murané R canopy and the driver alongside the chandelier, so everything is ready on the day it goes up.
