Description

The Murané R 18 is a ring chandelier: a slim band in a Brushed Champagne finish, 79cm across, set with 18 pink glass spheres that sit above and below it. Each sphere is 10cm across, and the glass has a rippled, wavy surface that catches the light and glows a warm pink when lit. The light comes from an integrated LED, so there is no bulb to buy or change. It gives 2647 lumens at 2700K, a warm white, with a CRI of 90, so food, wood and skin tones look true under it.

It is made for a dining room, hung over a round or long table, or for a living room where a wide ring of light suits the space better than a single pendant. At 79cm across it wants room around it, so it sits most comfortably in a generous room. It is rated IP20, which means dry rooms only. The chandelier comes without its canopy: a Murané R canopy, sold separately, is the ceiling fitting it hangs from, and there is no version that includes one. It runs on mains power, wired in by an electrician through a remote 24V DC driver, sold separately, which turns the mains supply into the 24V DC the ring runs on.

The band has a Brushed Champagne finish, a soft, warm metallic tone with a fine brushed grain, and the 18 pink glass spheres are spaced evenly around it, alternating above and below the band. It is a Class III fitting that runs at 24V DC from its driver, and it is for a qualified electrician to install. When you plan it, order the canopy and driver at the same time as the chandelier, so all three are ready together for the day it goes up, and allow for its full 79cm width over the table or the centre of the room.
