Description

The Murané is a pendant light with a 10cm sphere of Pink glass hanging on a slim cable from a small cap in a Brushed Champagne finish. The glass has a rippled, uneven surface that catches the light, and the colour gives the whole globe a soft, rosy glow when it is lit. Inside is an integrated LED, so there is no bulb to buy or change. It gives 167 lumens of warm white light at 2700K, with a CRI of 90 so colours nearby look natural, and draws 2.7W or 4W depending on the version. It hangs at a drop of up to 300cm, and the canopy is 5.5cm across and 13cm tall.

At 10cm across, this is a small, gentle pendant for a dining room or a living room: hung low over a table or a sideboard, or in a corner where a soft point of colour suits better than a bright overhead light. It comes in two versions. With canopy, it is a single pendant with a canopy of its own. Without canopy, for multi-pendant canopies (sold separately), it is made to hang alongside other Murané pendants from one shared canopy, so you can group several glass spheres into a cluster. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only.

The Murané is a 230V fitting, wired in to the mains by a qualified electrician. If you choose the 24V DC version, it also needs a remote 24V DC driver, sold separately, which converts the mains supply to the low voltage that version runs on; it will not light without one. The Brushed Champagne finish has a soft, warm tone that sits well beside the Pink glass. Agree the drop with your electrician before fitting, so the sphere hangs exactly where you want it.
