Description

The Murané is a pendant light with a 15cm sphere of Forest Green glass, its surface rippled so that the light inside breaks into soft patterns across the curve. The sphere hangs on a slim cable from a small cap in Brushed Champagne, a pale, warm tone that sits quietly against the deep green. Inside is an integrated LED, so there is no bulb to buy or change. It gives 167 lumens of warm 2700K light with a CRI of 90, which keeps wood, fabric and skin tones looking natural. The LED is 2.7W or 4W, depending on the version.

At 167 lumens this is a soft glow rather than a working light, and it is at its best in a dining room or a living room. Hang one alone over a side table or a reading chair, or several in a row above a dining table, where the rippled glass catches the light from every side. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms indoors only. We sell it in two versions: with canopy, ready to hang as a single pendant, or without canopy, for multi-pendant canopies (sold separately), so you can gather several spheres on one ceiling fitting.

The canopy on the version that has one is 5.5cm across and 13cm tall, small enough to sit neatly on the ceiling, and the finish is Brushed Champagne. The fitting runs on 230V mains and is wired in to the mains by an electrician, so a qualified electrician should install it. The 24V DC version needs a remote 24V DC driver, sold separately, which converts the mains supply to the 24V DC the light runs on. The cable gives a drop of up to 300cm, so measure from ceiling to tabletop before you order and you will know it reaches comfortably.
