Description

The Murané pendant light is a small sphere of Forest Green glass, 10cm across, hanging on a slim cable from a Brushed Champagne collar. The glass has a rippled, uneven surface that catches the light and throws soft movement across it, so even switched off it reads as a piece of coloured glass rather than a plain shade. Inside is an integrated LED, so there is no bulb to buy or change. It gives a warm 2700K white with a CRI of 90, which keeps food, skin and fabrics looking true. Its luminous flux is 167lm, and it draws 2.7W or 4W depending on the version.

At 10cm, it suits the dining room and the living room, hung low over a table, a sideboard or a corner chair where its colour can be seen up close. The cable gives a drop of up to 300cm, so it works under a standard ceiling or a tall one. One on its own makes a small point of colour; several in a row over a long table give a fuller glow. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only. We sell it in two versions: with canopy, a canopy 5.5cm across and 13cm tall, for hanging on its own; or without canopy, for multi-pendant canopies (sold separately), where several hang together from one fitting.

The finish is Brushed Champagne, a soft, warm tone that sits well beside the green glass. It runs on 230V mains power and is wired in to the mains by a qualified electrician. The 24V DC version needs a remote 24V DC driver, which is not included and is sold separately; the driver supplies the power the pendant runs on, so it will not light without one. Before you order, decide whether it will hang alone or in a group, as that settles which canopy version you need.
