Description
The Mundo is a low, square garden table with a grey fibre cement top resting on slim metal legs. It measures 55cm long, 55cm wide and 42cm tall, so the top gives you a generous square of space without taking over a small patio or balcony. Fibre cement is cement bound with fibres, which gives it the cool, matt look of concrete in a much thinner sheet than a cast slab. Each leg is made from metal rods that splay out in a V, a hairpin shape that keeps the base light to look at and leaves plenty of space beneath the top.
At 42cm tall it sits at coffee table height, which makes it a natural partner for a lounge chair or a garden sofa on the terrace, the decking or a sunny patio. It also works as a side table at the end of a bench, or in a conservatory or garden room among the potted plants. We like it by the back door with a lantern and a basket of logs, or out on the deck with a few books and a candle for long evenings. It takes a maximum load of 30KG, so it is happiest with these everyday things rather than heavy stone planters. At 8KG it is easy to lift and move as the sun goes round the garden.
Powder coating is a tough, baked-on finish, and here it covers the legs, while the top is painted. Care is simple: wipe it clean with a moist cloth whenever leaves, pollen or dust settle on it. The maker's assembly instructions come as a PDF download, so you can read through them before you start. For styling, the grey top sits happily beside natural rattan, bamboo and jute, and a round woven rug beneath it softens the fine lines of the legs on bare boards.

Frequently Asked
What is the table made of?
The top is fibre cement with a painted finish, and the legs are metal with a powder coated finish, giving you the look of concrete on a slim frame.
How big is the table?
It is 55cm long, 55cm wide and 42cm tall, a square top at low coffee table height that sits well beside a lounge chair or garden sofa.
How much weight can the table hold?
The maker gives a maximum load of 30KG, which suits plants, lanterns, books and baskets. The table itself weighs 8KG, so it is easy to move.
How do I clean it?
Wipe it clean with a moist cloth. That is the only care the maker asks for, on both the painted top and the powder coated legs.
Does it need assembling?
Yes. The maker's assembly instructions come as a PDF download, so you can read through them before you put the table together.
What is included?
You receive the table, with its fibre cement top and metal legs. The styling props shown are not included, so the chairs, rugs and lanterns are not part of the order.
