Description
The Knightsbridge multimedia combination plate integrates a 13A 2-gang DP switched socket with four Euro module apertures (25 x 50mm each) behind a single brushed chrome screwless faceplate with a white insert. The module apertures accept Knightsbridge Euro inserts for satellite TV, networking (RJ45), HDMI, USB charging, audio connections or telecoms, allowing power and signal distribution to be configured to room requirements.
Designed for installation in media rooms, home offices, kitchen islands and hotel bedrooms where multiple connection types need to be grouped in one position, the plate provides 230V power alongside signal connectivity without requiring separate back boxes for each function. The double-pole switching isolates both live and neutral lines when the socket is switched off, providing additional safety for high-draw appliances.
The plate is constructed from premium-grade steel with a brushed chrome finish that resists fingerprinting and provides a neutral metallic accent compatible with contemporary, industrial and transitional interiors. The screwless cover clips onto a separate metal sub-frame, hiding all fixings once installed. At 147.5 x 180mm the plate is larger than a standard 2-gang socket, so verify wall clearance before installation. The white insert behind the faceplate defines the aperture edges and provides contrast against the chrome.

Frequently Asked
What Euro modules are compatible?
The four apertures accept any standard Euro module insert measuring 25 x 50mm. Knightsbridge produces modules for HDMI, CAT6 networking, satellite/TV, USB charging, 3.5mm audio, phone sockets and more. Modules are sold separately and snap into the apertures without tools.
What back box depth is required?
The plate requires a minimum 21.2mm recessed depth for the wiring terminations and module connections. A 25mm or 35mm dual back box is typically used for multimedia combination plates to accommodate both power and signal wiring behind a single faceplate.
Can modules be changed after installation?
Yes. The screwless cover plate can be removed by unclipping it from the sub-frame, allowing Euro modules to be swapped or reconfigured without re-wiring the mains socket. This makes the plate adaptable as room requirements change.
Is the 13A socket switched independently?
Yes. The 2-gang socket has individual double-pole rocker switches for each outlet, allowing each socket to be isolated separately. The Euro module apertures are passive and carry signal only, so they do not have switching.
