Description

Moya is an oval chopping board in mango wood, 40cm long, 21.5cm wide and 2cm thick, with a fern motif spreading across its surface in darker brown lines. The outline narrows gently towards one end, where a cut-out handle gives you an easy place to grip it and a way to hang it up. The brown of the mango wood carries a clear, lively grain, and the fern sits over that grain rather than hiding it, so the board looks as good propped up on a shelf as it does in use.

At 40cm long it is a generous size for everyday kitchen work: room to slice a loaf, cut a wedge of cheese or chop fruit and herbs, then carry the lot straight to the table. It is approved for food contact, so it doubles as a serving board for a cheese course, warm bread with butter, or a few nibbles with drinks before supper. At 0.74KG it is light enough to lift by the handle and pass around.
