The Mossgrove twisted twelve light pendant reaches 830mm across, its arms rising in layers so twelve twisted clear glass shades sit at different heights above a brushed aged brass frame. Twelve G9 LED capsules at 5W each add up to sixty watts of light, which is enough to carry a large room on its own. The drop adjusts from 500mm to 820mm, and the whole ceiling light weighs 2.8kg, light for something this size.

Twelve lamps at this width belong over a long dining table, in a wide hall or in a living room where a single central fitting has always looked undersized. The spiral in each shade breaks the light so the effect is bright without being flat, and the layered arms give the fitting depth from across a room. It is not dimmable, so it works best switched, ideally on a circuit of its own where you can turn it off and fall back on lamps. With twelve lamps in play that separate switch matters more than it would on a smaller fitting. We would give it a long table and plenty of ceiling to work with.

The frame is metal in a brushed aged brass finish, matt rather than shiny, which keeps marks and fingerprints from showing on the arms. Each glass shade unscrews for washing in warm water and should be dried fully before it goes back on. Let the G9 capsules cool before changing them and hold them with a cloth. Rated IP20, it belongs in dry rooms. The Mossgrove range runs to a six light pendant and a two light wall light if you want the twisted glass repeated.
