Description

A pair of housewife pillowcases, each 50 by 70cm, woven from hemp and organic cotton. The ground is a warm stone grey and the weave is open enough that the individual threads show, with fine white stripes running the length of the case at regular intervals. The cut is plain, with no flat border around the edge and the opening at one end.

At 50 by 70cm these fit a standard pillow. The stripe runs the length of the case, so a pair laid side by side across a bed reads as one continuous run of lines, and a duvet cover is made in the same stripe. The stripe is woven into the fabric rather than printed on it.

The fabric is a blend of hemp and organic cotton, made in Portugal. Hemp grows with little water and without chemical treatment, and the organic cotton is grown without synthetic pesticides or modified seed. The pair arrives in a fabric bag, which can be kept for storage or used as a garment bag. The same stone grey stripe is made as a duvet cover in double, king and super king. Pillow inners are not included.
