Description

The Molly is an 80cm circular pendant light built around an interlocking ribbon frame in polished chrome aluminium, with integrated 45W 3000K LEDs running through opal silicone diffusers along each curved band. The ribbons loop and cross in a figure-of-eight configuration, creating a sculptural form that reads differently from different angles in the room.

Designed for dining tables, kitchen islands and central living room positions in rooms with ceiling heights between 2.4m and 3.5m, the Molly provides ambient light rather than task light. The height-adjustable cable system allows the fitting to hang between 600mm and 1500mm from the ceiling, with 600-900mm being typical over a dining table and 900-1200mm suited to double-height or open-plan spaces. The 0-10V dimmable LED driver requires a compatible 0-10V dimmer switch for full dimming range.

The polished chrome finish on the aluminium frame gives high reflectivity under daylight and artificial light, working well in contemporary, minimalist and high-gloss interiors. The opal silicone diffusers soften the LED output to prevent glare when viewed from below. At 2.22kg the fitting needs secure ceiling fixing, gravity toggles are included for plasterboard ceilings, while solid joists or concrete ceilings can use standard fixings.

Is the Molly dimmable?

Yes, the integrated LED is 0-10V dimmable. This requires a compatible 0-10V dimmer switch, which is different from standard phase-cut dimmers. Check dimmer compatibility before installation or contact us for guidance.

What ceiling height does this suit?

The adjustable cable allows the fitting to hang between 600mm and 1500mm from the ceiling. For a dining table position, 600-900mm drop works well in rooms with 2.4-2.7m ceilings. For double-height or open-plan spaces, a 900-1200mm drop suits ceiling heights of 3m or above.

What fixing is needed for plasterboard ceilings?

Gravity toggles are included in the box for plasterboard ceiling installation. These expand behind the plasterboard to distribute the 2.22kg load. For solid ceilings, standard screws and plugs can be used instead.

Can the chrome be cleaned without marking?

Polished chrome shows fingerprints and water marks easily. Clean with a soft microfibre cloth, lightly dampened with distilled water if needed. Avoid abrasive cleaners, sprays or polishes that can dull the chrome finish over time.
