Description

The Mirovel wall light pairs a brass fitting with a clear ribbed glass shade in a neat Art Deco shape. The cone of glass hangs from a small knuckle joint in front of a round domed backplate, and its fine vertical ribs catch the light when the bulb is on. It is 12cm to 20cm tall and 12cm wide, and it reaches 15cm to 26.5cm out from the wall. It takes one E14 bulb of up to 40W, and bulbs are sold separately, so you can pick the warmth and brightness you like. It comes in four finishes: Antique Silver, Antique Brass, Polished Brass and Satin Brass.

Rated IP20, the Mirovel is for dry rooms only, and it is at home in a bedroom, a living room or a dining room. Place one on each side of a bed so each sleeper has their own light, or set a pair either side of a mirror, a fireplace or a sideboard to frame the wall with soft light. The four finishes make it easy to match the brass to what is already in the room: Antique Silver and Antique Brass have an aged, lived in character that suits a period home, Polished Brass is bright and gleaming, and Satin Brass has a softer, quieter sheen.

Each Mirovel is made to order for you in Ireland, from brass and glass. It is a mains fitting, so it is wired in to the mains by a qualified electrician. The maker guarantees the fittings it makes for five years from the date of purchase; bulbs are not covered. One practical point before you order: measure the space beside the bed or mirror where it will go, since it reaches up to 26.5cm out from the wall, and choose the finish that sits best with your switches and handles.
