The mirror glass sits within a bevelled aperture defined by the carved inner edge of the frame.

Designed for portrait-orientation hanging, the Mirage suits hallways where it can reflect natural light from an adjacent window or doorway, bedrooms above a dressing table or console, and living rooms where a vertical accent breaks up wall-mounted artwork. The 64cm height allows it to capture a full head-and-shoulders reflection from standing height, while the 46cm width keeps the footprint narrow enough for corridors and alcoves.

The silver finish is applied over hand-detailed resin castings, so the carved depth of the leaves and scrolls remains visible under the metallic coating. Can this mirror be hung in landscape orientation?

The design is intended for portrait hanging and the rococo crest at the top is most visually balanced in that orientation. Hanging it landscape would place the ornamental peak on the side, which disrupts the symmetry of the composition.

Is the frame real carved wood or resin?

The frame is polyurethane resin cast from hand-carved moulds. This gives the appearance and detail depth of carved timber but at a lower weight and with better resistance to moisture and temperature changes. The silver finish is applied over the cured resin.

What fixings are needed to hang it?

At 2.4kg the mirror can be hung on two standard picture hooks rated for 3-5kg each, spaced to align with the hanging points on the rear of the frame. Most plasterboard walls will support this weight without specialist fixings, but solid masonry walls may benefit from screws and wall plugs for added security.

Is the silver finish sealed or does it tarnish?
