Minati Tumblers - Clear - Set of 4

A set of four hand blown tumblers, each 10cm tall and 8cm across, holding 300ml. The body rises from a narrow base in a gentle cone to a wider mouth and pulls in slightly at a rolled lip. Soft vertical flutes run up the wall, shallow enough to read as a ripple in the glass rather than as a cut pattern. Each glass sits on a small applied foot with a stepped ring under it, and the glass carries a green cast that gathers where it is thickest, strongest in the foot and along the lip.

At 300ml this is a water or juice glass rather than a long drink. The applied foot lifts the body a few millimetres off the table, so the glass reads as a small goblet rather than a straight beaker, and at 10cm there is no stem to catch on a tray or a shelf.

Each glass is blown by hand into a mould with traditional tools, which is what leaves the uneven surface and the small bubbles caught in the wall, so no two come out exactly alike. Minati also runs to wine glasses, champagne flutes and a ribbed jug, all in the same clear glass. Four tumblers come in the set, and they are food safe.

Why is the glass green at the bottom?

That is the glass itself rather than a coating. The cast gathers where the glass is thickest, in the foot and along the lip, and fades out through the thinner walls.

How do I look after them?

Wash them after each use so nothing stains the glass. Use a mild detergent, do not leave them to soak, and handle them with care.
