Description

A set of four champagne flutes in recycled glass, each 20cm tall, 8cm across and holding 200ml. The form is slender and drawn out rather than squat, and the glass carries a faint green cast that comes from the recycled stock rather than from anything added to it. Each flute is blown by hand into a mould, so the surface is not perfectly even and no two are quite the same.

Four come in a set, which covers a table of four or two rounds for a pair. At 20cm tall and 8cm across they stand well clear of the plates on a laid table. The Minati range also runs to tumblers, wine glasses and a ribbed jug, all in the same clear recycled glass, so a table can be set from the one range.

The glass is recycled, crushed and melted down and then blown by hand into a mould with traditional tools. That leaves an irregular patina across the surface, so the faint green in the glass varies from one flute to the next. They are food safe and hold 200ml each.

Frequently Asked

How many come in a set?

Four.

How much does each flute hold?

200ml. Each one stands 20cm tall and measures 8cm across.

Is the glass recycled?

Yes. The waste glass is collected and washed to remove impurities, then crushed and melted down before it is blown by hand into a mould.

Will the four match each other?

Not exactly. Each flute is blown by hand, which leaves an irregular patina, so no two in a set are identical.

How should they be looked after?

Wash them after every use so they do not stain. Handwash only, using a mild detergent, and do not leave them to soak. Handle them with care.
