Mila Tumblers - Dark Emerald - Set of 4

A set of four glass tumblers in dark emerald, each 9cm tall and 8.5cm across, holding 325ml. The walls run straight from base to rim with no taper. The upper half of each glass is plain and the lower half carries a cut pattern: a row of long tapered spears rising from a raised horizontal band, with a second row of short vertical flutes below it. The green is deep enough to read almost black where the glass doubles at the base, and it lightens through the plain upper section.

At 325ml these are short tumblers rather than highballs: the size for a whisky, a spirit over ice, water at the table or juice at breakfast. The cut section falls where the hand closes around the glass, so the grip is textured and the plain upper half stays smooth against the lip. The green is dark enough that the glasses read as solid colour on a shelf rather than showing what is in them.

The tumblers are glass throughout, and the pattern is carried in relief in the wall rather than lying flat on the surface, so it reads as texture under the fingers as well as by eye.
