Description

A set of four champagne coupes in deep emerald recycled glass, each 17cm tall and 10.5cm across the bowl. The bowl is wide and shallow, carried on a long slender stem and a broad conical foot. A band of pointed oval facets runs round the upper bowl in two rows, the upper row larger than the lower and both set between plain ribs, and below the band the glass is left plain. The green darkens where the glass is thick at the foot and lightens through the thin wall of the bowl.

Four come in a set, and each bowl holds 300ml. At 17cm they stand lower than a flute, so they sit below the eye line across a laid table, and four of them line along a sideboard with the light coming through the green from behind. The Mila range also runs to tumblers, wine glasses, gin glasses and a decanter, made in this same dark emerald and in clear.

The glass is recycled, and the colour runs through it rather than sitting on the surface, so it reads almost black where the foot is thick and clear green through the bowl. Small bubbles are caught in the stem. They are food safe and dishwasher safe.
