Description

Decoded from the ROLF JQ-L code, this is a microwave (MW) motion sensor measuring 92mm in length, rated IP20 for dry indoor use. It runs on a 220-240V AC supply and detects movement using high-frequency microwave sensing rather than heat, so it picks up motion through thin partitions and across wider zones than an infrared unit. The compact white plastic body suits in-line wiring with luminaires and switched circuits where automatic on-and-off control is wanted.

Use it to switch lighting in hallways, landings, stairwells, store cupboards and utility areas, so fittings come on as someone enters and switch off after the space is clear. Wire it in line with the controlled load within its rated voltage; the IP20 rating keeps it to dry indoor positions away from damp or splashes.
