Description

This is a compact oval bulkhead wall light made from solid brass and left in a raw brass finish, with a cage of brass bars across clear ribbed glass. The Merchant is 20.5cm long, 11.5cm wide and 12cm deep, small enough to sit neatly beside a door or along a wall while still looking solid and purposeful. It is rated IP64, which means it is dust-tight and protected from splashing water, so it can live outdoors through British weather all year round. The brass cage over the glass and the four screws around the rim give it the workmanlike look of a light on a ship's deck.

It suits a front door, a porch or a garden wall, and it looks at home on a boathouse or a seaside cottage. The maker says these bulkheads are designed for outdoor places that call for an industrial or nautical look, and that brass makes this fitting a favourite for coastal projects. The maker also says the maritime influence shows in the range's materials, designs and names.
