Description

The Merchant is an oval bulkhead light made from solid brass in an antique brass finish, with a sturdy matching cage over a clear ribbed glass. Four cross-head screws at the corners hold the front in place, and the whole light has the purposeful look of a ship's fitting. It is compact at 20.5cm long, 11.5cm wide and 12cm deep, and weighs a solid 1.31KG. It is rated IP64, which means it is dust-tight and protected from splashing water: it can live outdoors and take British weather in its stride.

Put it beside a front door, in a porch, along a garden wall or on a boathouse, where its caged face looks at home. The maker describes these bulkheads as made for outdoor places where an industrial or nautical effect is wanted, and says the brass makes them a favourite for projects in coastal regions.
