Description

The Mediterrània S/105 is a ribbon LED pendant light: a single translucent ribbon shade that rises and falls in a soft wave, finely pleated from the centre out, with the light sitting at its middle. It measures 105cm across and the shade is 12.3cm tall, so it reads as a wide, low shape rather than a deep one. We offer it with the shade in Cream Translucent Ribbon or White Translucent Ribbon, both on a white structure. The light source is an integrated LED, so there is no bulb to buy or change: 17.1W giving 1530lm at 2700K, a warm white, with a CRI of 90, so food, wood and fabric keep their true colours.

At this size it suits a dining room, centred over a long table where its width follows the line of the chairs, or a living room where it can hang over a seating area or a low coffee table. It hangs from a white canopy 14cm across and 5cm deep, and the drop runs from 26cm to 216.5cm, so it can sit close to a lower ceiling or come well down in a taller room. It is dimmable on a TRIAC circuit with a compatible dimmer, so the same pendant can give brighter light for a meal and a softer glow later in the evening. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms indoors only.

The structure is iron and aluminium, finished in white, and the ribbon hangs level from fine suspension cables with the power cable running between them. The design is by Alex Fernández Camps. It is a 230V, Class I fitting powered from the mains, so it must be wired in by a qualified electrician. Before you order, measure the table beneath it and the height of your ceiling, then choose Cream Translucent Ribbon or White Translucent Ribbon to sit with the colours already in the room. Our photographs show the white version.
