Description

The Mediterrània PF/105 is a wide LED ceiling light with a white structure and a White Translucent Ribbon shade, 105cm across and 26cm tall. The ribbon is finely pleated and rises and falls in soft waves around its centre, so the light glows through it and spreads out across the room. It runs on an integrated LED, so there is no bulb to buy or change: 17.1W giving 1530 lumens of warm 2700K light, with a CRI of 90, which keeps wood, fabric and skin tones looking true.

At 105cm across, this is a ceiling light for a room with space around it: over a dining table, in the middle of a generous living room, or in a bedroom where you want soft, even light rather than a bright point overhead. It sits close to the ceiling on a short white stem, so it suits rooms where a hanging pendant would feel too low. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms indoors only. It is TRIAC dimmable, so with a compatible dimmer you can turn it down for a quieter evening or let it fill the room when friends come round.

The design is by Alex Fernández Camps. The fitting is made of iron and aluminium, finished in white, and its round canopy is 12cm across and 5cm tall, small enough to sit neatly against the ceiling above the sweep of ribbon. It is a Class I fitting for 230V mains and is wired in by a qualified electrician, so plan for that when you choose it. Once it is up, the integrated LED means there is nothing to replace, and we like how one fitting gives a large room soft, generous light.
