Mayla 140 x 200cm Linen Throw - Natural

The Mayla is a throw in linen and cotton, 140 x 200cm, woven in a plain natural. Fine charcoal lines run through it at regular intervals, each one made of short dark dashes worked into the weave rather than a printed stripe. The weave is loose and slubby, with a nubbly surface that catches light differently where the fabric folds, and both ends finish in a long, loosely twisted knotted fringe.

At 200cm along its longer side it reaches across the back of a sofa or the foot of a bed, and the 140cm gives enough to hang down over an arm. Over the arm of a sofa the fringe hangs clear of the floor. At 1.8kg it has real weight to it, so it stays where it is laid rather than creeping off.

The fabric is linen and cotton, and the charcoal lines are worked in as stitching rather than printed, so they stand slightly proud of the ground. The fringe at each end is left long and loosely twisted, with a few dark threads running through the natural. How should it be laundered?

Wash at 30 degrees with a mild detergent. Do not bleach and do not tumble dry, and expect a little shrinkage. Steam iron it if it needs it.

No. They are stitched into the weave in charcoal thread.
