Description

The Maxi P/03 is a tall floor lamp with a slim, tapered column shade made of pleated translucent ribbon. It stands 185cm tall on a round base 30cm across, and the ribbon turns the light inside it into a soft, even glow along its whole length. We offer the shade in two choices, Cream Translucent Ribbon or White Translucent Ribbon, so you can pick the tone that sits best with your walls and furnishings. The column narrows gently towards the top and towards the foot, which keeps a lamp of this height looking slender rather than bulky, and the fine vertical pleats give the surface a quiet texture whether the lamp is on or off.

This is a floor lamp for the living room, where a tall column of soft light works well in a corner, beside a sofa or at the end of a long wall. It is dimmable, so with a compatible dimmer it can run bright for reading and low for a quiet evening. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only. It plugs in and comes with 40cm and 200cm of cable, which means you can place it where it looks best and move it when you rearrange the room.

The lamp is built from iron and brass, and it runs at 230V. It takes four E27 bulbs, 15W maximum each, which are sold separately and not included; they are what give the lamp its light, so keep each bulb to 15W or less. A lamp of this height reads as part of the furniture, so it is worth choosing its spot before you unpack it, and having all four bulbs to hand means it can be lit and settled in place on the first evening.
