The Matisse is a 90x80cm Art Deco-inspired wall mirror built from three layered mirrored panels arranged in a fan configuration, each panel set on a grey wood backing with bevelled edges. The central panel sits taller than the flanking side panels, creating a vertical emphasis and a stepped silhouette that references 1920s and 1930s cinema foyer mirrors.

Designed for placement above fireplaces, bedroom vanities, hallway console tables and dressing room walls, the Matisse works in spaces where a single flat mirror would feel too plain but an ornate framed mirror would feel too busy. The grey wood backing provides a neutral frame around each mirrored section without adding the visual weight of a traditional gilt or moulded frame. At 90cm wide, the mirror suits standard UK fireplace breasts and double vanity units.

The mirrored sections are bevelled at the edges, catching and refracting light across the boundaries between panels. The grey backing is a mid-tone matte finish that pairs comfortably with both warm-toned interiors (where it acts as a cool accent) and cooler schemes (where it blends). The 2cm depth includes the backing board and the mirror glass, so the piece sits close to the wall once hung. At 10kg, the mirror requires two wall fixings into masonry or a horizontal batten fixed to studs.
