Description

The Matices is a 20cm glass globe pendant light with a matte gold interior finish and white ceiling canopy, housing an integrated 4W LED that emits 340 lumens at 3000K. The gold coating inside the glass reflects warm light back through the lower half of the sphere while the upper hemisphere remains clear, creating a visible gradient from gold to transparent when viewed from below.

Designed for installation above kitchen islands, in hallways, or over stairwells, the Matices works as a single pendant in compact spaces or in multiples along a run where multiple ceiling roses are available. The drop adjusts from 50cm to 200cm on installation, allowing the pendant to be set between 60-80cm above a worktop or 180-220cm above floor level in entrance halls depending on ceiling height. The white canopy fits standard UK ceiling roses and the cable runs inside the suspension wire.

The 20cm diameter and 1kg weight suit rooms where a decorative accent is needed without dominating the space. The matte gold interior finish softens the light output compared to a clear or silver-lined globe, reducing glare when the pendant hangs at eye level. The integrated LED runs on 180-240V mains supply. Dimmer compatibility depends on the specific dimmer module installed. Contact us before pairing with a dimmer to confirm compatibility.

The drop adjusts from 50cm to 200cm on installation. For a kitchen island the pendant typically sits 60-80cm above the worktop, which works in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above. In hallways or stairwells the pendant can be suspended at 180-220cm above floor level.

How bright is the 4W LED?

The integrated LED outputs 340 lumens at 3000K, which provides accent or secondary task lighting rather than primary illumination. For comparison, a typical 6-8W LED bulb outputs 470-800 lumens. The Matices works well as decorative lighting or in multiples where combined output is needed.
