Description
The Marmo is a 6-light chandelier built around a geometric gold-plated metal frame with six circular alabaster panels, each positioned between pairs of rectangular gold bars. Six E14 bulb fittings (bulbs sold separately) sit behind the alabaster discs, casting light through the natural stone. The frame suspends from a central gold canopy on a rod that allows height adjustment between 59cm and 79cm from the ceiling rose to the base of the fitting.
Designed for dining rooms, entrance halls and living rooms with ceiling heights of 2.6m or above, the 51.7cm diameter suits tables between 1.4m and 1.8m in length, or open-plan zones that need a defined focal point without overwhelming the space. The chandelier works on standard UK 230-240V mains and carries an IP20 rating, meaning it is suitable for dry indoor use only. The gold plating has a warm mid-tone finish rather than a high-gloss polish, which softens reflections under daylight and pairs comfortably with warm neutrals, oak, walnut and brass hardware elsewhere in the room.
Each alabaster panel shows different mineral veining and tonal variation depending on where it was cut from the stone block, so the six discs within a single chandelier are visibly individual when lit. The rectangular gold bars that frame each disc create a layered geometric structure, with the stone panels appearing to float within the metal grid. The combined weight of the metal frame and six alabaster panels gives the Marmo a substantial presence on installation, requiring a ceiling fixing capable of supporting decorative lighting in the 4-6kg range.

Frequently Asked
What bulbs does the Marmo take?
The chandelier takes six E14 (small Edison screw) bulbs up to 40W each. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED candle bulbs between 4-6W and 2700K-3000K to balance ambient light with visibility of the alabaster stone when lit.
Is the height adjustable on installation?
Yes. The suspension rod allows the chandelier to be set between 59cm and 79cm drop from the ceiling rose to the base of the fitting. The adjustment is made during installation and cannot be changed once the chandelier is wired and fitted.
Do the alabaster panels vary between individual chandeliers?
Yes. Each panel is cut from natural alabaster, so the veining, tonal variation and translucency differ between the six discs within a single chandelier and between different units. This is a feature of the natural material, not a defect.
What table length does the 51.7cm diameter suit?
A 51.7cm chandelier typically suits dining tables between 1.4m and 1.8m in length. For tables longer than 1.8m, consider pairing two chandeliers spaced evenly along the table length, or choose a larger single fitting from the Maytoni range.
