This is a pair of wooden salt and pepper grinders, made mostly from rubberwood, and their shape is what sets them apart: each body rises in three rounded tiers stacked one on another, finished with a small ridged knob at the top. Each grinder stands 13cm tall and is 7.5cm across, a compact size that sits comfortably in the hand. The pair is multicoloured, with the two grinders in clearly different wood tones, so salt and pepper are easy to tell apart without a label. The capacity is given as 55ml.

They belong wherever food is seasoned: beside the hob while you cook, then carried to the dining table for the meal.
