The Marea Large is a 59cm LED ceiling or wall light built around a flowing wave-form frame in sandblasted white-finished metal, with an integrated 28W 3000K LED behind an opal diffuser. The five curved arms radiate from a central mounting disc, creating an organic silhouette that measures 59cm wide by 39cm deep and projects 6cm from the mounting surface when installed.

Designed for contemporary interiors with open-plan layouts, the Marea works as ceiling flush mounting in living rooms, hallways and bedrooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above, or as a wall-mounted feature in corridors, stairwells and landing walls. The opal diffuser softens the LED output into ambient wash light rather than directional task light, making it suitable for general room illumination rather than reading or work areas. The IP20 rating limits use to dry indoor locations only.

The sandblasted white finish gives the metal frame a soft matte texture that reduces glare under daylight and pairs with white or neutral-toned walls without creating harsh contrast. Yes. The Marea is designed for dual mounting. On ceilings it functions as a flush light providing ambient room illumination. On walls it acts as a decorative wash light feature in hallways, landings or alongside staircases.

Is the integrated LED replaceable?

The 28W LED is integrated into the fitting and is not user-replaceable. LED lifespan is typically 20,000-30,000 hours depending on use pattern. At 4 hours per day that translates to approximately 13-20 years of service before replacement of the entire fitting becomes necessary.

What fixing method is needed for the 1.56kg weight?

The 1.56kg weight requires secure fixing into ceiling joists or wall studs. Standard plasterboard anchors are not sufficient. If mounting onto a hollow wall or ceiling, use heavy-duty cavity fixings rated for at least 5kg, or locate a joist/stud and fix directly into solid timber or masonry.

Is it dimmable?
