Description
We stock the Mangata as a spherical wall light in polished chrome. A crackle-textured clear glass sphere sits between two chrome arms that extend from a round wall plate, and an integrated 7W LED runs through the centre of the sphere, giving 250 lumens of warm white light at 3000K. The texture in the glass softens the LED and spreads it in a full 360 degree pattern, so the light reads as both a fitting and a soft point of interest whether it is on or off.
It works well in hallways, on landings or beside a bed. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only. The 3000K colour temperature sits between warm candlelight and neutral white, so it gives a comfortable ambient glow rather than a cool clinical one. The polished chrome arms and wall plate pick up surrounding finishes and pair with modern, contemporary and minimalist rooms.
The LED is factory-fitted and non-dimmable, so it runs at a steady output and there is no separate bulb to buy or replace. It draws 7W and runs on 220 to 240V, 50Hz mains supply, with an 80 CRI rating and an energy class of G. The body is metal and glass, and the chrome arms hold the glass sphere clear of the wall so light can pass around it in every direction.

Frequently Asked
Do I need to buy a bulb?
No. The 7W LED is integrated and factory-fitted, so it arrives ready to wire in with nothing extra to buy. It gives 250 lumens of warm white light at 3000K.
Is it dimmable?
No. The integrated LED is non-dimmable and runs at a fixed output, so it is best paired with a standard switch rather than a dimmer.
Can I use it in a bathroom?
No. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only. The IP20 rating suits hallways, landings and bedrooms.
What sort of light does it give?
A warm white glow at 3000K, spread in a full 360 degree pattern through the crackle-textured glass. That sits between warm candlelight and neutral white, so it reads as soft ambient light rather than a cool, bright beam.
