Our Mallen coat rack turns a strip of wall into a small safari. A giraffe, a snake curled over an elephant, a zebra and a parrot riding on a lion stand in a row along a plywood rail, with a half-round panel rising behind them like a low sun. Four tapered pegs are fitted into the animals' bodies, giving somewhere to hang a coat, a bag or a sun hat. It is made of plywood and iron, measures 40cm long, 6cm wide and 20cm tall, and weighs 0.332KG, so it is a light, slim piece that fits beside a door or above a small chest of drawers without crowding the wall.
