Description

The Mahi media unit is a low open shelving unit, 120cm wide and 50cm tall, built from slim square section iron in a brass finish. Three flat panels sit within the frame: a full width top, a full width shelf just above the floor, and a shorter one set between them across the middle, which leaves a taller open bay at each end. The panels are a flat, muted grey against the brass of the frame.

At 50cm high the top sits below the eye line of someone on a sofa, and the 120cm width takes a screen of more than a metre with room at either end. The middle shelf splits the centre into two shallow compartments for boxes and consoles, while the open bays at the ends take taller things standing up: records on their edges, books, a lamp. It is 35cm deep, so it holds close to a wall, and at 18.8kg one person can move it.

The unit is iron throughout, finished in brass. The frame is open at the back and at the sides, so cables run straight through and nothing is boxed in. The Mahi range also holds shelving units, a console table, a side table and a bench in the same metalwork.
