Description
The LYYT LED Battery Topiary Ball Light is a battery-powered decorative light with 120 cool white LEDs distributed across 9.5m of black cable, designed to be arranged into a topiary ball shape using the included chain hanger. Each LED sits 80mm apart on the cable, giving a spaced-out pattern when the cable is formed into a sphere. The battery box carries an IP44 rating, providing splash protection for outdoor use in gardens, patios and covered outdoor areas.
Designed for decorative outdoor lighting during Christmas, weddings, garden parties and year-round patio accent lighting, the topiary ball pairs with actual topiary plants, hung from pergola beams, or suspended from wall brackets in entrance areas. The 6-hour-on, 18-hour-off timer function allows the light to run automatically without manual switching each evening. Eight pre-programmed flash modes cycle through steady, slow fade, twinkle and combination patterns using the mode button on the battery box.
The 120 cool white LEDs produce approximately 6000K output, giving a crisp white light that pairs well with modern outdoor furniture, contemporary garden schemes and winter/Christmas displays. The total cable length of 10.5m includes 1m of lead cable between the battery box and the first LED, allowing the battery box to be positioned out of sight behind foliage or furniture. The battery box takes 3 AA batteries (sold separately) and weighs 232g when empty, rising to approximately 300g with batteries fitted.

Frequently Asked
What batteries does it need?
The battery box takes 3 AA batteries, sold separately. Rechargeable NiMH AA batteries will work but may provide shorter run times than alkaline AA batteries due to their lower voltage per cell.
How is the topiary ball shape formed?
The 9.5m LED cable is threaded through a wire frame or wrapped into a sphere shape by hand, then hung from the included chain. The spacing of 80mm between LEDs allows the cable to be looped and gathered into a ball without the LEDs bunching together.
Can it be left outside in rain?
The battery box is rated IP44, providing protection against splashing water from any direction. It can be used outdoors in typical UK garden conditions but should not be submerged or placed where standing water can collect around the battery compartment.
How long do the batteries last?
Battery life depends on the flash mode used and the quality of the batteries. In steady-on mode with alkaline AA batteries, expect approximately 48-72 hours of cumulative run time. The 6-hour timer function extends battery life by limiting daily use to 6 hours per 24-hour cycle.
