Description
The LYYT 960 LED outdoor string lights deliver 960 clustered LEDs across a 14m lit length, with a 5m power lead bringing the total cable run to 19m. Each LED is spaced 10mm apart and runs on a 31V 9W transformer, creating a dense display of warm white and cool white light on dark green PVC cable. An inline controller provides 8 selectable programmes including wave, chase, twinkle and steady-on, with a memory function that retains the last-selected mode after power-off.
Designed for Christmas displays, events and year-round garden lighting, the string lights suit wrapping around trees, draping along fences, or tracing rooflines and pergolas. The IP44 rating allows use in sheltered outdoor positions where the lights are protected from direct rainfall, or indoors for hall decorations and large-scale festive installations. The built-in 8-hour on, 16-hour off timer automates daily switching without manual intervention, reducing energy use and extending LED lifespan.
The dual-colour LEDs allow switching between warm white (approximately 3000K tone) and cool white (approximately 6000K) to suit different seasonal displays or match the colour temperature of other installed lighting. The clustered arrangement places multiple LEDs at close intervals, giving brighter coverage and a fuller appearance than traditional single-LED spacing. The concave LED design distributes light more evenly at wide viewing angles, reducing the effect of individual point sources and creating a consistent glow along the entire 14m run.

Frequently Asked
What does IP44 mean for outdoor use?
IP44 provides protection against solid objects larger than 1mm and water splashes from any direction. The lights can be used in sheltered outdoor positions such as under eaves, pergolas or covered porches, but should not be left exposed to direct, sustained rainfall or submersion.
How does the timer function work?
The built-in timer switches the lights on for 8 hours, then off for 16 hours, repeating this cycle daily. Once activated, the lights will turn on at the same time each day without manual switching. The timer is controlled via the inline controller.
Can the colour be changed between warm and cool white?
Yes. The inline controller allows selection between warm white, cool white, and combined modes. The memory function retains the last-selected colour and mode after the lights are unplugged or the timer switches them off.
What is the clustered LED arrangement?
The 960 LEDs are spaced 10mm apart along the 14m cable, creating a denser light distribution than standard string lights where LEDs are typically spaced 100mm or more apart. This produces brighter, fuller coverage with less visible cable between light points.
