Description

The LYYT 12V SMD2835 LED strip light delivers 720 lumens per metre from 60 LEDs per metre across a 5m reel, producing a crisp 6000K cool white output. Each SMD2835 LED emits 3996 millicandelas through a 140-degree beam angle, casting bright, even light across surfaces without visible individual LED hotspots. The strip runs on 12V DC and consumes 4.8W per metre at 400mA per metre, requiring a compatible 12V constant-voltage power supply (sold separately).

Designed for under-cabinet task lighting, shelving, signage, retail displays and workshop installations, the strip carries an IP65 rating from the epoxy resin coating that seals the LEDs and copper tracks against moisture, dust and light splashes. The flexible 10.5mm-wide strip bends around corners and curves without cracking, and a self-adhesive backing fixes it to clean, dry surfaces including wood, metal, glass and painted walls. Cut points are marked every 5cm along the length, allowing the reel to be sized to exact requirements without wasting material.

The 6000K colour temperature produces a neutral to cool white light comparable to daylight fluorescent tubes, making it well-suited to kitchens, bathrooms, garages and commercial spaces where clarity and colour accuracy matter. The strip weighs 210g across the full 5m and ships with connection accessories for attaching power cables to cut ends. What power supply does this strip require?

The strip runs on 12V DC at 4.8W per metre, so a 5m reel draws 24W total. You need a 12V constant-voltage LED driver or power supply rated at 30W minimum to allow headroom. The power supply is sold separately.

Can this be used in bathrooms?

The IP65 epoxy coating protects against moisture and light splashes, making it suitable for bathrooms outside of direct shower spray zones. It should not be submerged or installed where it will receive direct water jets.

How is the strip cut and reconnected?

Cut points are marked every 5cm along the strip. Use sharp scissors to cut at these points only. Connection accessories are included in the box for soldering or clamping power cables to cut ends.

Is the strip dimmable?

Dimming depends on the 12V power supply or driver used. Pair the strip with a PWM dimmer or a dimmable 12V driver to control brightness. The strip itself has no built-in dimming circuit.
