Description

The Kichler Lyndon is a 5 light outdoor chandelier with five clear seeded glass shades suspended from curved arms on an architectural bronze frame, rated IP44 for use in covered outdoor locations. Each shade houses an E27 bulb (sold separately, 60W maximum per socket), and the seeded glass texture diffuses the light into a soft, textured glow visible through the bubbled glass surface.

Designed for covered patios, outdoor dining areas and exterior porches with roof protection, the Lyndon fits spaces with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above. The drop is adjustable on installation between 305mm and 1219mm, allowing the fitting to be set higher for walkways or lower over a dining table. The 611mm diameter suits tables seating 6-8 or entryways up to 4m wide. The IP44 rating protects against water splashes but requires shelter from direct rain.

The architectural bronze finish is a dark, oil-rubbed metal tone with subtle warm undertones that pairs with stone, brick, timber cladding and dark-painted exteriors. The five-arm configuration radiates outward from a central column, giving the chandelier a symmetrical profile when viewed from below. The seeded glass contains deliberate bubbling and texture within the glass itself, creating variation in light refraction across each shade when the bulbs are lit.

Kichler manufactures the Lyndon in the United States with a 3 year manufacturer guarantee covering material and finish defects. The chandelier weighs approximately 4.5kg when assembled and requires secure fixing to a junction box rated for the combined weight of the fitting and five bulbs.

No. The IP44 rating protects against water splashes from any direction but not direct rain or submersion. The Lyndon requires installation under a roof, porch canopy or covered patio where it is sheltered from direct weather exposure.

What bulbs are recommended?

The chandelier takes five E27 bulbs up to 60W each, sold separately. Most users fit warm-white LED filament bulbs between 4-8W at 2200K-2700K to give a traditional incandescent appearance through the seeded glass. Avoid cool-white or daylight bulbs in outdoor social spaces.

How is the drop adjusted?

The suspension rod is adjustable during installation by removing sections of the central column. Once the fitting is wired and secured, the drop cannot be altered without disconnecting and lowering the chandelier from the ceiling.

Is the bronze finish painted or plated?

The architectural bronze is an applied finish over the base metal frame. It is designed to resist corrosion in sheltered outdoor environments but should not be cleaned with abrasive materials or chemical solvents that could strip the finish.
