Description

These salad servers are iron with a brass plated finish, and their heads are what make them: each is a broad fan in the shape of a ginkgo leaf, ribbed with fine lines that run out from the stem to a softly scalloped edge. One head is whole and the other is split by a deep notch at the top, the familiar pairing of a spoon to scoop and a split server to hold leaves in place. Both are 32cm long, a good length for reaching the bottom of a deep salad bowl without your knuckles meeting the dressing.

They are made for the table as much as the kitchen. Lay them across a big bowl of leaves for a weekend lunch, a summer supper in the garden or a long family meal, and they do the serving while looking the part. The long handles keep hands clear of oil and vinaigrette, and the wide heads lift a generous helping of salad, roasted vegetables or grains in one go.
