Lumis Twin Head Lamp Post - Anthracite

The Lumis is a 2.3m twin-head lamp post cast from die-cast aluminium in an anthracite powder-coated finish, carrying two E27 bulb holders beneath downward-facing bell shades with transparent acrylic diffusers. The lamp post stands on a stepped square base with decorative detailing on the central column and curved swan-neck arms that extend outward before arching down to hold each shade.

Designed for driveways, front gardens, pathways and residential boundary lighting, the Lumis provides bilateral illumination from a single standing fixture. The IP43 rating protects against rain and solid objects larger than 1mm, making it suitable for exposed UK outdoor locations with standard drainage. Each E27 socket accepts bulbs up to 60W (sold separately), allowing you to choose warm white LED for ambient pathway lighting or cooler daylight tones for security applications.

The die-cast aluminium construction resists corrosion and impact better than hollow sheet metal or plastic alternatives, while the anthracite finish provides a neutral grey tone that pairs with both traditional masonry and modern render. The 830mm width between the two lamp heads gives balanced spread without requiring multiple posts along shorter driveways or garden paths. The base requires ground fixing via bolts into a concrete foundation or paving slab — surface-mount installations are not recommended due to the height and wind exposure.

What bulbs does it take?

The Lumis takes two standard E27 (Edison screw) bulbs up to 60W each. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with warm white LED bulbs between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K for pathway and driveway lighting.

Is it suitable for exposed coastal locations?

The IP43 rating protects against rain and solid objects but does not provide full weatherproofing against salt spray or driving rain at high angles. For coastal locations within 5km of the sea, an IP65-rated alternative may be more appropriate.

How is it installed?

The lamp post requires ground fixing via bolts into a concrete foundation, paving slab or equivalent solid base. Surface-mount installations are not recommended due to the 2.3m height and wind exposure. Electrical wiring must be installed by a qualified electrician and typically runs through underground conduit to the base.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, the Lumis is compatible with dimmable E27 LED bulbs when paired with an appropriate outdoor dimmer switch. Check that both the bulb and dimmer are rated for outdoor use and that the dimmer supports the combined wattage of both bulbs.
