Description

The LumiLife 3.5W outdoor emergency bulkhead delivers 320 lumens on mains power and 180 lumens in emergency backup mode, using an integrated LED module behind a ribbed polycarbonate diffuser. Rated IP65 for full dust and water-jet protection, the white polycarbonate housing mounts directly to external walls on 220-240V AC mains and includes a self-contained battery that activates when mains power fails.

Designed for outdoor corridors, service entrances, covered walkways and loading bays, the bulkhead provides both maintained lighting during normal operation and automatic emergency lighting during power cuts. The 6,500K daylight colour temperature gives high-contrast visibility in low-light conditions, making it suitable for safety-critical applications such as fire exits, stairwells and access routes where clear wayfinding is required. The surface-mount base fits standard UK outdoor electrical boxes.

The polycarbonate lens and housing resist impact and UV degradation, and the IP65 seal keeps moisture and dust out of the internal components. The emergency battery typically provides 3 hours of backup lighting at 180 lumens, though exact duration depends on battery condition and ambient temperature.
