Description

Our wine glasses come as a set of six, each made entirely of glass and given a spray coloured finish that changes tone from the rim down through the stem to the foot, so the six together read as multicoloured rather than plain. The bowl is tall, with near-straight sides that turn in neatly at the bottom, and it sits on a long, slender stem and a round foot. Each glass is 7.5cm across and 21cm tall and holds 430ml, a generous size for wine that leaves plenty of room above a pour, so the glass never has to be filled near the rim.

They belong on the dining table, at weeknight suppers and at longer evenings with friends, and six matching glasses cover a table for six in one go. The capacity suits red or white wine equally well, and a tall stemmed glass keeps a warm hand away from the bowl. Because glass is non-porous, it carries no taste or smell from one bottle to the next. The multicoloured finish is soft enough to sit happily beside stoneware plates, linen napkins and a jug of flowers, so the glasses work as everyday pieces rather than ones kept for best.
