Description

The Lucian is a 61cm table lamp built from a cylindrical white marble base topped with a satin bronze collar and stem, supporting a tapered white fabric drum shade. The lamp takes a single E27 bulb (sold separately) rated up to 20W, delivering approximately 900 lumens when fitted with a typical LED bulb. The marble base weighs 6.28kg, giving the lamp stability on side tables and console surfaces without needing additional weighting.

Designed for bedside tables, living room consoles and hallway credenzas, the Lucian provides ambient light through the fabric shade while the marble base adds material weight and visual presence to the surface it sits on. The 38cm diameter shade casts a pool of light downwards and outwards, suitable for reading positions within 1-1.5m of the lamp. The neutral palette of white marble, bronze metalwork and white fabric pairs with both warm and cool-toned interiors.

The white marble shows natural mineral veining that varies between individual pieces, so no two Lucian lamps have identical patterning in the stone. The satin bronze finish on the collar and stem provides a mid-tone metallic accent between the lighter marble and shade, softening the contrast without introducing reflective glare. The lamp is rated IP20 for indoor use only and operates on standard UK 220-240V mains via a Class 2 double-insulated fitting.

The lamp takes a standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb up to 20W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a warm-white LED bulb between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K for bedside or ambient use.

Does the marble vary between lamps?

Yes. Each base is cut from natural white marble, so the mineral veining, tonal variation and patterning differ between individual pieces. This is a characteristic of the natural stone, not a defect.

Is the lamp suitable for bedside use?

Yes. The 61cm height sits comfortably on most bedside tables, and the fabric shade diffuses light suitable for reading within 1-1.5m of the lamp. Pairing with a warm-white LED bulb and a separate dimmer switch allows adjustment for evening use.

How is the marble base cleaned?

Marble is porous and softer than engineered stone. Wipe the base with a dry, soft microfibre cloth. For stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable, but avoid soaking the marble and do not use household sprays, polishes or acidic cleaners.
