Description

The Linear is a long, slim ceiling canopy that carries a row of pendants from a single connection to the mains. It measures 120cm long and 7.5cm wide and is just 3.7cm high, so it sits close to the ceiling as a neat rectangular bar with six evenly spaced outlets along its length. Inside is a built-in 75W driver that takes the 230V mains supply and feeds the pendants at 24V DC. The canopy gives no light of its own; every bit of light comes from the pendants you hang from it. We offer it in six finishes: White, Black, Brushed Champagne, Matt Black, Brushed Bronze and Brushed Brass.

Because it lines six pendants up in one straight run, the Linear suits a long dining table, a sideboard, a reception desk, a long hallway or a living space where a single central light would leave the far corners dim. It is made for indoor use in dry rooms. To complete it you need up to six pendants, each sold separately; they hang from its outlets, give all of the light and are fed at 24V DC by the built-in driver, so choose pendants that run at 24V DC. The six finishes make it easy to match the canopy to your pendants and the room: White to sit quietly against a pale ceiling, Black or Matt Black for crisp contrast, and Brushed Champagne, Brushed Bronze or Brushed Brass for a warmer tone.

Building the driver into the canopy means there is no separate driver to buy or to find room for in the ceiling, and the slim 3.7cm profile keeps the whole unit discreet. The Linear is not dimmable, so the pendants it powers simply switch on and off. It is wired in to the mains by a qualified electrician, so book one in when you plan where your run of pendants will hang. Our photographs show the white version.

No. It has no light of its own; all of the light comes from the pendants you hang from its six outlets, each sold separately.

No. The 75W driver is built into the canopy, taking the 230V mains supply and feeding the pendants at 24V DC, so there is no separate driver to buy.

Is the Linear canopy dimmable?

No, it is not dimmable. The pendants it powers switch on and off rather than dimming.

What size is it and which finishes does it come in?

It is 120cm long, 7.5cm wide and 3.7cm high, and it comes in White, Black, Brushed Champagne, Matt Black, Brushed Bronze and Brushed Brass.
