Description

The Line is a geometric LED pendant light built from six intersecting metal bars finished in matte gold, each housing integrated LED strips behind acrylic diffusers. The bars cross at asymmetric angles and suspend from a circular canopy on four cables, creating an abstract sculptural form that sits 1010mm wide by 660mm deep when viewed from below. The integrated 79W LED array runs at 3000K, casting warm white light both upwards and downwards through the diffusers.

Designed for dining tables, kitchen islands and entrance halls with ceiling heights of 2.6m or above, the Line provides both task and ambient illumination. The suspension cables are adjustable between 120mm minimum and 1200mm maximum drop on installation, allowing the fitting to be set 700-900mm above a dining surface or lowered into a double-height entrance void. The 1010mm width suits tables of 1800-2400mm length or kitchen islands of similar span. The IP20 rating confines use to dry indoor locations.

Each bar is formed from metal finished in a low-sheen matte gold that reduces glare under daylight and sits somewhere between brushed brass and satin gold in tone. The acrylic diffusers run the full length of each bar, hiding the LED strips and preventing direct glare from below. The asymmetric arrangement of the six bars means the light pattern changes depending on viewing angle, with different bar overlaps visible from different positions in the room. The combined metal and acrylic construction gives the fitting a presence without excessive weight, and the 3000K colour temperature pairs comfortably with warm-toned timber, brass hardware and neutral wall colours.

The integrated LED is rated at 79W on 220-240V mains. Dimmer compatibility depends on the specific dimmer model. Contact us before pairing with a dimmer to confirm compatibility with this Maytoni fitting.

What ceiling height is needed?

The suspension cables adjust between 120mm and 1200mm drop. For a dining table or kitchen island the fitting typically sits 700-900mm above the surface, which works in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.6m or above. Lower ceilings can still accommodate the Line if the cables are shortened to the 120mm minimum during installation.

What table size does it suit?

The 1010mm width suits dining tables of 1800-2400mm length or kitchen islands of similar span. The asymmetric bar arrangement means the light spreads beyond the physical width of the fitting, so it can work over slightly wider surfaces depending on room context.

Can it be installed on a sloped ceiling?

The four-cable suspension system allows minor slope compensation, but the fitting is designed for horizontal ceilings. Significant slopes may cause the bars to hang at an angle. Check with an electrician before installing on ceilings sloped beyond 5 degrees.
