Description

The Leonor is a tall floor lamp made of rubberwood, linen and iron, standing 130cm high with a linen shade 45cm across at its widest. The column is its defining feature. Broad at the foot, it narrows steadily as it rises, pinches in to a slim waist and then flares out again just below the shade. The shade is a tapered drum, 40cm across at the top, 45cm across at the base and 35cm tall, so it sits generously over the column without overwhelming it. In natural tones throughout, it reads as a quiet, sculptural piece rather than a busy one.

At 130cm tall it is a floor lamp for the side of a sofa, an armchair or a bed, and its slim, tapering column keeps it from crowding a corner or an alcove. The 200cm clear cable gives you some freedom over where it stands in relation to the socket, and a clear flex is less noticeable against floorboards and skirting than a dark one. The switch is on the cord, so you can turn it on and off without reaching up under the shade. It is rated IP20, which makes it a lamp for living rooms, bedrooms, studies and hallways, the dry rooms of the house.
