Description

We stock the Lens as a surface-mounted LED ceiling light with a compact 75mm cylindrical housing in black aluminium. An integrated 15W LED module sits inside, giving 970 lumens of warm white light at 3000K through a controlled 70 degree beam, so the light falls in a focused cone straight down onto whatever is below.

The tight beam makes it a good fit for task lighting over a kitchen worktop or a bathroom vanity, and it works just as well as accent lighting in a hallway or entrance. With an IP44 rating it copes with splashes and steam, so you can use it in bathroom zone 2 or under a covered porch. A CRI of 90 keeps colours looking true, which helps in a wardrobe, at a makeup mirror or above artwork.

The black aluminium housing resists corrosion and needs nothing more than an occasional wipe with a damp cloth. It mounts directly onto the ceiling on concealed fixings for a low-profile finish, without the recessed cut-out a downlight would need. The LED is not dimmable and wires straight into 220 to 240V mains at 50Hz, with no separate driver box to house.

Frequently Asked

Is this light dimmable?

No. The integrated LED is not dimmable, so it runs at a single fixed brightness and needs no dimmer switch on the circuit.

Can I use it in a bathroom?

Yes. It is rated IP44 for splash and steam resistance, which suits bathroom zone 2 as well as covered outdoor porches.

How does it fix to the ceiling?

It surface-mounts directly onto the ceiling on concealed fixings, so you do not need to cut a recess as you would for a downlight.

What colour light does it give?

It gives warm white light at 3000K, with a high CRI of 90 for accurate colour, and puts out 970 lumens from a 15W LED.
