Description

This polycarbonate directional arrow lens is a replacement or reconfiguration component for Knightsbridge EMSWING emergency exit signs. The lens displays a white running-figure-and-arrow pictogram on a green backlit field, with the arrow pointing left or right depending on the installation orientation required. The lens snaps into the front of the EMSWING luminaire and sits over the internal LED panel.

Designed for use when an exit route changes direction or when an EMSWING sign needs to be repositioned to indicate a different exit path, the lens allows a single emergency luminaire to be reconfigured without replacing the entire unit. The IP20 rating suits standard indoor commercial and residential escape routes including corridors, stairwells, lobbies and office spaces where the sign is not exposed to moisture or dust ingress.

The polycarbonate construction is impact-resistant and maintains the green-and-white contrast required under UK emergency lighting standards (BS 5266 and BS EN 60598-2-22). The lens weighs under 100g and clips into the EMSWING frame without tools, meaning a facilities manager or electrician can swap the lens during routine maintenance or after a floor-plan change without dismantling the luminaire from its ceiling or wall bracket.

Is this compatible with all EMSWING models?

This lens is designed specifically for the Knightsbridge EMSWING range of emergency exit signs. It will not fit other manufacturers' emergency luminaires. Check the model number on your existing EMSWING unit before ordering.

Can the arrow direction be changed after installation?

The arrow direction is fixed in the lens itself. To change from left-facing to right-facing (or vice versa), you need to order and fit the opposite lens. The lens clips in and out without tools, so swapping is straightforward during maintenance.

Does this lens include the LED panel?

No. This is the front lens only. The LED panel, battery and control electronics remain inside the EMSWING luminaire. The lens sits over the existing LED panel and changes the displayed pictogram.

Is the lens suitable for outdoor use?

The IP20 rating means the lens is for indoor use only, in dry locations. For outdoor or wet-area emergency exit signs, a higher IP-rated luminaire is required.
