Description

The Lazas is a sculptural LED suspension light built from two interlocking curved loops in steel and aluminium, finished in brushed gold leaf with an opal silicone diffuser running along each curve. The integrated 56W LED sits behind the diffuser, casting 3000K warm white light in both directions through the opal silicone and reflecting off the inner gold surface. The overall dimension is 52cm across the widest point of the loops, with a 18cm body height and adjustable cable drop from 40cm to 120cm.

Designed for dining tables, kitchen islands, and living room centrepieces where ceiling heights allow a 600-900mm clearance below the pendant, the Lazas provides ambient lighting rather than task lighting. The sculptural form reads clearly even when the light is off, making it a visual anchor in the room. The gold leaf finish catches natural daylight during the day and warms under its own LED output at night. The IP20 rating limits use to dry interior spaces only.

The two loops interlock in a continuous ribbon formation, with the opal diffuser running along the inner edge of each curve. The brushed gold finish shows subtle texture variation across the metal surface, softening reflections compared to a polished or mirror finish. At 1.86kg the pendant is light enough to hang from most standard UK ceiling roses without additional support. No. The 56W LED is factory-integrated into the metal loops and cannot be replaced by the end user. The LED has a rated lifespan typically in the region of 25,000-30,000 hours, which equates to approximately 10-15 years of domestic use at 5-6 hours per day.

Can this be used in a bathroom?

No. The IP20 rating means the Lazas is suitable for dry interior spaces only. It is not rated for use in bathrooms, kitchens with high steam levels, or any outdoor or damp location.

What ceiling height is needed?

The cable drop is adjustable between 40cm and 120cm during installation. For a dining table the pendant typically hangs 700-800mm above the surface, which requires a ceiling height of at least 2.4m. For centrepiece installations in living rooms or hallways, ceiling heights of 2.7m or above allow the pendant to hang at eye level when standing.

How is the gold finish maintained?

The brushed gold leaf finish can be dusted with a dry microfibre cloth. For marks or fingerprints, a barely-damp cloth is acceptable, but avoid soaking the metal or using household spray cleaners, which can degrade the gold leaf coating over time.
