Description

This is a small stoneware bowl with a ribbed outside, its vertical ribs running from the foot to a softly scalloped rim, all under a glossy red glaze. It measures 12cm across and 6.5cm tall and holds 400ml, which makes it a cereal, soup or dessert bowl rather than a serving dish: big enough for a proper bowl of porridge, small enough to sit neatly on a side plate. At 0.33KG it is easy to carry in one hand, and the stoneware gives it a reassuringly solid feel.
